“Our ladies are hoping to raise a lot of money for the hospice at the same time as getting closer to their targets. It’s going to be a great girlie night out and we’re all looking forward to it.”

The new 10 mile event replaces the former Midnight Walk and kicks off at 10.30pm so participants can hit the town afterwards in their amazing outfits.

The Star Walk has a variety of celebrity supporters this year including Jake Wood – aka Max Branning from EastEnders. Ex-England football international Wayne Bridge and Luton cricket legend Monty Panesar will also be there.

Hospice spokeswoman Andie Hill said: “Why not sign up and make it your reason to get fit, walk it in memory of a loved one or join us for the sheer buzz and excitement on the night?

“Whatever your reason, your sponsosrship will help Keech continue its vital care and support.”

> Registration for the event is £15 with a suggested sponsorship of £100. Call 01582 707940.
