On the Panto lookout for men in tights (and a damsel in distress)

With little over a month to go, the search for the next Robin Hood and Maid Marian is heating up! Do you look great in green, confident in manoeuvring in tights or have a damsel in distress complex?

Producers of last year’s pantomime extravaganza at the Grove Theatre are looking for two stars to perform in Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood.

This year’s panto transports you to Sherwood Forest where the Evil Sheriff of Nottingham is heavily taxing the residents in order to exact his wicked plan to rule England. The people of Sherwood Forest and England are in desperate need of a hero.

Will Robin Hood be able to save them?

This year’s panto couldn’t get any better with an all-star cast including Alan Fletcher(Neighbours’ Dr Karl Kennedy), Steve Hewlett (Britain’s Got Talent ventriloquist),

X Factor’s Andy Abraham and 90’s pop sensation Anna Kumble otherwise known as Lolly.

So if you’re aged 16+, why not apply? Producers will see male or female, professionals, seasoned veterans of panto, actors in training and even those who have never auditioned before. Auditions will be held on Sunday September 14 at the Grove Theatre and Monday September 15 in London.

Not a performer? No fear! You’ll be able to watch the process, from the first open auditions to the Grand Final, in the on line TV series.
