Attention all adults: forget your working woes and laugh yourself silly in July with Kevin Precious in Gecko. Former RE teacher and Barnstormers Stand Up Comedy compère Kevin Precious brings a riotous slice of comedy action with an Edinburgh preview of his show ahead of the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The irresistibly likeable and ever hilarious ventriloquist Steve Hewlett visits the theatre in July with his new stage show. Steve became an overnight sensation when he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2013. For one night only, he’ll be bringing a host of his puppet friends to the theatre and a huge dose of hilarity.

Capture your little one’s imagination with an out-of-this-world production of the best-selling children’s book Aliens Love Underpants in July. Zany and always hilarious, this wonderful production tells the story of aliens who consider humans wasteful with their use of underpants. Not content with human’s utilising underpants as just wearable items, the aliens decide to pinch the pants and whisk them back to their home planet.

And Unearth a wicked cocktail of sins in July with live broadcasts of stellar Shakespearean works performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company. Wrath and envy unfold when simmering racial tensions boil over in The Merchant of Venice; a wronged father seeks to exact revenge for a broken deal sealed in blood. Jealousy, vanity and greed take centre stage with Othello in August; witness the undoing of a loving husband as he is torn apart by pride.
