There’s a raft of super shows lined up that will appeal to everyone from rock fans to musical afficiandos and serious theatre luvvies.

It kicks off with the outrageous Rock of Ages (August 18 - 23) and continues with the magic of Top Hat (August 26 - September 6), Dreamboats and Miniskirts (October 6 - 11) – the long-awaited sequel to Dreamboats and Petticoats – and record-breaking Dirty Dancing (October 21 - November 8) with thigh-slapping old favourite Calamity Jane (November 25 - 29).

Stones in his Pockets (September 15) is the hilarious tale of a quiet Irish community turned upside down by the arrival of a Hollywood movie shoot. It’s performed by two highly talented actors playing 15 characters between them.

For those who enjoy something more cerebral, there’s the world’s longest-running show The Mousetrap (September 22 - 27) and a limited one-night production (October 13) of the thought-provoking The Man Jesus, starring Simon Callow.

Thereare also terrific treats in store for opera and ballet lovers.

English National Ballet’s Swan Lake will be performed from November 11 - 15, while the Glyndebourne season (November 18 - 22) features Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera and Verdi’s La Traviata as well as Britten’s compelling adaptation of The Turn of the Screw.

Dawn French is also on the menu with her brand new one-woman comedy Thirty Million Minutes (September 17 - 19).
