VIDEO: Stars In Their Eyes with the Griffin Players

The Griffin Players in Luton held a fundraising Stars In Their Eyes performance for Comic Relief.

Compere for the evening was Richard Alexander and the judges were Amy Hansford, Dee Lovelock and Paul Ramsey.

There were seven star contestants: Luke Murphy performing as ‘Cher’, Kelly Williams performing as ‘Martine McCutcheon’, Joshua Thompson performing as ‘The Darkness’, Deborah Cheshire performing as ‘Joni Mitchell’, Hannah Mitchelmore performing as ‘KT Tunstall, Jenna Ryder-Oliver as ‘Marilyn Monroe’ and Anna Woods and Paul Rogers as ‘Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran’.

Luke said: “I chose to organise this night because I wanted to promote the Griffin Players amateur dramatics society, whilst creating a social night and raising money for a good cause. Due to the success of this event I would definitely look at putting on some more in the near future.”

The Griffin Players’ next production of The Vicar of Dibley on September 12-14 is also helping to raise money for Comic Relief.
