Awards launched with £8,200 prize pot

Businesses can win a share of a £8,200 advertising prize pot in the Bedfordshire & Luton Rising Stars awards, launched today.

Organiser Premier Newspapers has put up the prize to help celebrate the 20th year of the county’s leading business excellence awards.

Once again Barclays will be the headline sponsor and is backing the overall winner, to be chosen from 10 categories. A Lifetime Achievement Award will also be presented on the night.

Other key sponsors are back on board. Nisa Local is backing the New Business category, accountancy and business expert KSK is backing the Enterprising 0rganisation of the Year category.

Mayfair Financial and Mortgage Consultants, in Bedford, is backing the Business of the Year (under 50 employees) category.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, Novermber 8 at Bedford Corn Exhange.

Each year there is a celebrity speaker and this time ex British tennis champion and GMTV presenter Andrew Castle is sure to help the shortlisted companies have a ball.
