Co-op becomes first confirmed tenant of Kimpton Road 'Lu2on' development
The Co-op has signed on to become the first commercial tenant of a major development in Luton.
'Lu2on' is being constructed upon a 6.9-acre site off Kimpton Road, formerly occupied by the Vauxhall factory.
The new estate offers 877 apartments with a mixture of studio, one and two bedroom apartments, starting from £220,000.
Property firm Strawberry Star is developing the site to include shops, a cafe, a gym and several restaurants leading towards a park, as well as a brand name hotel.
The Co-op is the first confirmed tenant on site, which is expected to be complete by winter 2021.

Lu2on has already won two awards – Best Mixed Use Development in the UK with a 5-star rating at the International Property Awards 2019 and the Best Offplan Development Award at the First Time Buyers Readers Award 2019.
