Genting Casino Luton welcomed customers back on Wednesday, under tier two restrictions, following clearance from the government.

The casino has been closed since November 5, when the second nationwide lockdown commenced.

Staff at Genting Casino Luton have worked tirelessly to ensure the venue is Covid secure and to provide returning customers and staff with the safest and most enjoyable environments possible.

Extensive safety measures are in place, with social distancing implemented and one-way systems created where necessary.

More regular cleaning is taking place, including the cleaning of all tables and machines after every use. Screens have also been installed in between slot machines and e-tables.

Prior to the second lockdown, Genting carried out a survey of its customers throughout the UK during September and October. The results revealed that 95% of customers expressed feeling safe in the casino environment.

James Harvey, general manager at Genting Casino Luton, said: “The team here are excited to welcome everyone back again, and we are delighted that customers acknowledge the safe environment across the venue.”

Genting Casino Luton will open daily at midday (live tables from 2pm), closing at 11pm and with last orders for food and drink at 10pm, in line with government guidance.

Drinks and a limited food menu will be available until 10pm. Food and drinks will be table service only and customers will not be able to order, or drink, at the bar.

Alcoholic drinks can only be served with a substantial meal – menus have been clearly marked to clarify which dishes meet this requirement.
