The North and East Bedfordshire branch and the Luton and South Bedfordshire branch have officially merged to form the Bedfordshire branch of the FSB.

Regional chairman and outgoing chairman for the North and East Bedfordshire branch, Charles Smith said: “The FSB is a business lobby group and as many of the issues for businesses are similar throughout the county, this seemed the most logical step.

“We can lobby more successfully with one group covering the entire county of Bedfordshire. We have over 2,000 members here and the new branch will be the most powerful voice for business in the county.”

The first Beds branch AGM will be held at 6pm on November 14 at the Forest Centre in Marston Moretaine when new officers for the branch will be elected.

All members of the two Bedfordshire branches are invited to the AGM and non-members too would be welcome afterwards at 6.30pm to attend a free buffet and talk on social media.
