Networking at Dunstable heard that Councillor Claire Meakins-Jell, pictured, is the youngest mayor in the county’s history.

The mayor gave a short speech about how she plans to aid local businesses through the towns council’s ongoing support and gave details of the planned events over the summer to encourage visitors to the town.

Members introduced their businesses and raised concerns they face such as one member who was having issues with the classification for rates of a business property they were looking to rent – to which the mayor was able to give the correct contact and the matter is now under review.
