The 32-year-old company, based in Lurke Street, Bedford, has given its backing to the search for the small and medium sized business of the year in this year’s Rising Stars awards.

The company was started by Guy F Moliterno. His cousin, Guy A Moliterno is a director. He said: “We want to hear from those people who have taken the bull by the horns, gone back to basics and are making a success of their business in these economic times.”

The small and medium-sized business of the year award is open to all companies across Bedfordshire and Luton employing fewer than 50 people.

Excellence in customer care is something the judges in the awards, organised by Premier Newspapers, will be especially looking out for.

Mr Moliterno, whose family- owned company provides insurance, mortgage and financial services to businesses from single operators to multi-million pound companies, as well as pensions, mortgages and income protection advice to members of the public, believes customer care and is the key to success.

Mr Moliternosaid: “The thing that puts us above our competitors is the fact that we are local and we are always available for them. If that means me staying in the office until 7pm to see someone, I do it.

“We have a close-knit relationship with our clients which means we recommend other businesses to them.”
