Bakery chain Greggs has revealed its plans for a new store in Luton, and if approved, it would be the eighth location in the town.

The new shop would be built in the existing Luton Retail Park, in Gipsy Lane – next to Luton’s Hobbycraft store.

The application, which has been sent to Luton Borough Council, states that the work could start as early as May 12 and last for six weeks, with the shop ready by June 20.

If the plans are given the green light, construction will be carried out between 7.30am and 6pm during the week and between 9am and 1pm on Saturdays.
