Portable building supplier ‘Potters’ into Luton

Portable Offices has relocated to Hatters Way Retail Park, where it has a purpose-built site to showcase its offices, classrooms, canteen facilities and a range of modular buildings.

One of the company’s main customers is movie industry client Warrior Productions at Shepperton Studios. It has supplied portable accommodation for the Harry Potter film series.

Luton was chosen to be the company’s southern region base because of its road, rail and air transport links and the local demand for portable buildings.

The derelict brownfield site at the rear of the retail park was regenerated to house the company.

A team of seven will be based at the newly manufactured suite of offices which are designed to demonstrate the versatility of portable buildings.  

Manager, Neil Christie, said: “After six years at its Dunstable site, Portable Offices had outgrown its old site and made the decision to move closer to London to a large new retail site conveniently situated close to Warrior Productions’ Studios and the major motorway networks.”
