Potential buyers are sought to tune into Heart of community
A FORMER radio station base in Dunstable is up for sale for offers in excess of £550,000.
The 7,889 sq-ft building in Chiltern Road, Dunstable, has housed both Chiltern Radio and more recently Heart FM.
It is being marketed jointly by agents Lambert Smith Hampton, of Great Marlings, Luton, and Alexander & Co Commercial & Industrial, in High Street South, Dunstable.
Before the property, which sits on a 0.4 acre site, became a commercial radio station, it used to be a school.

The property is mainly of brick construction under a pitched, tiled roof, with various extensions to the rear. It contains both open plan and cellular offices and benefits from gas-fired central heating and part air conditioning.
There are some 33 car parking spaces and the commercial agents say it is suitable for alternative uses, subject to planning consent.
The building consists of a ground floor and a first floor. There is 7,346 sq-ft on the ground floor and 543 sq-ft on the first floor.
Lambert Smith Hampton say the property has had the benefit of planning consent for 12 flats but consent for this has expired.
The joint agents say in their marketing information: “We believe the property would continue to suit a residential and/or an educational/community use, subject to planning.”
