University hosts business talks by social media guru and successful entrepreneur

TWO inspirational personalities from the business world will be speaking at Knowledge Network events at the University of Bedfordshire on Tuesday, June 12 and Thursday, July 5.

Social media expert Adam Grey will visit the University’s Putteridge Bury Conference Centre, in Luton, on June 12 while one of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs, Jonathan Milner, visits on Thursday, July 5.

Adam has been involved in social media from the very beginning, helping to develop one of the very first social networks in the late 1990s. Since then he has worked with some of the UK’s best known brands.

Jonathan, chief executive and principal founder of Abcam Plc, will explain the key factors that helped him achieve success. Established in 1998 Abcam has become one of the largest retailers of research antibodies in the world. In June 2011 the company generated sales in excess of £83m and operating profits of £32m.

Both talks take place at the Putteridge Bury Conference Centre, Hitchin Road, between 5.30-8pm. The talks start at 6pm. Prices are £20 for Knowledge Network members, £30 non members, and includes wine and buffet.
