Urgent call to businesses to sign up for Dragons Den-style pitching chance

The Meet The Buyer event in Luton on November 5 will see firms matched up with three potential clients to whom they will be able to give a 10-minute Dragons Den-style pitch.

“Now is the time to go for it,” said Meet The Buyer event organiser, Damian Cummins. “Businesses looking for a great networking event, advice on how to pitch to the public sector and most importantly the chance to win business should register now. There’s no time for delay.”

Once the deadline has passed, matchmakers will line up firms with three potential buyers. The Meet the Buyer event will be held at the Knowledge Hub, Putteridge Bury, Luton.

Buyers looking to meet local firms include Luton Borough Council, Active Luton, the University of Bedfordshire, Luton Cultural Services Trust and Central Bedfordshire Council.

Mr Cummins added: “It’s a bit like a speed dating event but with the added input of professional matchmakers. We hope that some long lasting relationships will come out of Meet the Buyer on November 5. There could be fireworks!”

Other key benefits to businesses at Meet The Buyer are that it is a networking opportunity with up to 70 other Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). There will also be a workshop to fine tune sales pitching skills and a networking breakfast.

The Federation of Small Businesses and the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce are partners of the event.
