Alan Harris, of New Leaf Business Solutions, in Hawthorn Crescent, Caddington, told members of Networking@Dunstable that they needed to make sure that their websites have the most appropriate content to be found by those electronic searches on the internet.

“If you think all your business comes from word of mouth, that may be true but what about all the people you do not know,” he told the group at the Old Palace Lodge, in Church Street, Dunstable, on Friday.

Mr Harris said it was important for firms to include the words and phrases that people search for on Google to be found.

“Keep your text changing or your ranking will go down,” he said.

“Look for what people are searching for to create original content,” Mr Harris told about 40 people.
