Att10tive Social Enterprise, a Luton-based coordinating organisation working across the twenty wards of Luton, is calling on artists and creatives to join them and a number of Luton schools in showcasing what looks good about the town.

The project, called “Luton’s Image”, supported by the Connelly Foundation invites artists to use the five letters of Luton or the map of the town to create their impressions of Luton through paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics, woodwork, metalwork, or any other creative forum or medium.

Montell Neufville, Managing Director of Att10tive and vice chair of Step Forward Luton said “Luton is a town of contrasts and surprises, where tradition meets modernity and diversity flourishes.

From the historic landmarks and cultural festivals to its sporting triumphs and industrial achievements, there is much to celebrate about Luton. The town's resilience, creativity, and community spirit are evident in every aspect of life here. From its renowned carnival and thriving arts scene to its diverse community and sporting pride, Luton is a place worth showcasing”

We will be bringing together a number of Luton schools and colleges to make images that will be shown at the Luton DART station in April 2025. Luton’s Image means acknowledging our rich heritage, dynamic present, and promising future. It’s about recognising the contributions of all our communities, the beauty around our green flag award-winning parks, the beauty of our skyline and landscapes, and the vibrancy of our communities.

The project manager is 17-year-old Att10tive Youth Ambassador, Forever Oji, supported by Ruth MacMoniobi.

Project leader Forever’s quote captures the spirit of the project perfectly:

"Now is the time that the whole town of Luton, including young people, step up to show the world not just how beautiful Luton is and looks, but how many creatives we have in Luton and why proudly we all call Luton our Home" says Forever Oji, 17-year-old Att10tive Youth Ambassador and project lead

Att10tive Social Enterprise is excited to see the creative interpretations of our town from artists of all ages and backgrounds.

Any individual artist, school, or art group who wants to get involved should email [email protected].
