Charitable trust hands out grants

GRANTS worth thousands of pounds have been given out to University of Bedfordshire students by a charitable trust.

The £1,000 bursary from The Steel Charitable Trust was given out to 25 third year students to help them in their final year. The trust was set up in 1976 by Robert and Marjorie Steel, who lived in Luton all their lives.

Vice chancellor Professor Les Ebdon said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the trustees and highlight how valuable these bursaries are for those students.”
