The Shared Learning Trust Sixth Form, based over two campuses, Stockwood Park and Chalk Hills, offers a learning environment where all students have the opportunity to achieve fantastic results, make lifelong friends and have the chance to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Top-level results

Recent A-level results have shown that over 84% of students achieved 3 A*-E A-Levels, with Applied General grades moving to an average of a Distinction being achieved. Despite global difficulties over the past two years, students and teachers have worked incredibly hard to ensure that lesson delivery and content, both online and face-to-face, has been of an excellent standard.

In 2019, two £30 million brand new state-of-the-art buildings were opened for the sixth form provision, providing students with access to top facilities and sixth form hubs to continue their further education. There is also a dedicated sixth form of experienced teachers and leaders preparing students for the next step in their chosen subjects.

Football and Cricket Academies

Along with an Elite Football Academy in partnership with Luton Town FC, the shared Learning Trust is now also offering an Elite Cricket Academy for students to join. In partnership with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, a first-class cricket club, The Luton Steelbacks Cricket Academy provides students with an exclusive opportunity for talented cricketers to continue their development both educationally and professionally within the game of cricket. Both the Football and Cricket Academies offer students a balanced educational experience, combining their passion for sport and love of learning, into a two-year fully-funded course.

Students are encouraged to join a wide range of extra-curricular activities during their time at The Shared Learning Trust. From the student leadership programme to driving lessons and from work experience in top establishments like the NHS to talent shows, all students have the opportunity to broaden their future career path in many different ways.
