Investigation at Bramingham Primary School as staff accused of breaching Covid-19 social distancing rules

Pictures were circulated on Facebook showing a night out, including a large gathering of people huddling close together.
Staff named in the post include teaching assistants and a former headteacher who allegedly took the photos.

Hide AdThe school is planned to reopen tomorrow (Thursday) after months of lockdown and the summer holidays.
One concerned parent said: "I can’t believe what I have just seen. Staff from Bramingham Primary School are at a party the week school starts and not social distancing.
"Surely common sense should prevail here - the ex-headteacher is even present taking the pictures!"
The school is run by the local authority and Luton Borough Council's director of public health has continued to press the public to maintain social distancing and avoid large gatherings.

Hide AdLuton was named an area for intervention by the government after a spike in cases towards the end of July.
Alex Colledge, chair of governors at Bramingham Primary School, said: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be investigating this matter and therefore we are unable to comment any further at this stage.”
