Cooking up a way to raise vital charity cash

A team of child and adolescent mental heath professionals have cooked up a fundraising recipe book called ‘Cook, Eat, Love’.

Consultant psychologists from Bedfordshire’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team put together the recipe collection for Children in Need, including everything from dinner time favourites to delicious desserts.

Professor Samuel Stein said: “Every year the the service in Bedfordshire and Luton tries to raise money for Children in Need.

“Previously we’ve run from Bedford to Dunstable and published a book of poems by patients. This year we decided to collect together some favourite recipes with each contributor explaining a little why the particular dish is meaningful to them.”

Dr Uttom Chowdhury said: “The result has been fantastic and our book has over 60 pages of recipes which are special to the children and adults who make them.”

‘Cook, Eat, Love’ is on sale at £3 and can be purchased by emailing [email protected]
