Coronavirus latest: 105 new cases and 4 deaths reported in Luton over weekend

105 new coronavirus infections and four deaths have been confirmed in Luton over the weekend, according to figures from Public Health England.

The total number of cases in the borough now stands at 18,038 (+105).

68 new cases were added yesterday (Saturday) with 37 today (Sunday).

Over the past seven days, 542 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in Luton, down by 151 (-21.8%) from the previous week.

No new deaths (within 28 days of a positive test) were reported in Luton yesterday while four were added today, with 459in total since the pandemic began

The case rate in Luton is now 284.4per 100,000.

There have been 4,038,078 lab-confirmed cases across the UK, up by a daily rise of 10,972.
