Coronavirus latest: 213 cases and 9 deaths in Luton over weekend

213 new coronavirus infections and nine deaths were reported in Luton over the weekend, according to statistics from Public Health England.

103 diagnoses were reported yesterday (Saturday), with 110 today (Sunday).

The total number of cases in the borough now stands at 17,496 (+213).

Over the past seven days, 693 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in Luton, down by 298 (-30.1%) from the previous week.

Six deaths (within 28 days of a positive test) were reported in Luton yesterday and two today, with 433 in total since the pandemic began
