Coronavirus latest: 41 new cases and two deaths reported in Luton today

41 new instances of coronavirus and two deaths have been reported in Luton today (Tuesday), according to Public Health England figures.

The total number of cases in the borough now stands at 18,946 (+41).

Over the past seven days, 309 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in Luton down by 153 (-33.1%) from the previous week.

Two new deaths (within 28 days of a positive test) were reported in Luton today, with 479 in total since the pandemic began

The case rate in Luton is now 175.5 per 100,000.

There have been 4,188,400 lab-confirmed cases across the UK, up by a daily rise of 6,391.
