Coronavirus latest: Three new cases brings Luton total to 861

Three new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Luton over the past 24 hours, according to Public Health England.

The total number of cases in the borough now stands at 861 (+3).

Luton is ranked 21st highest for infection rates of authorities across England and Wales, at 402.1 per 100,000.

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire stands still at 778 (+0) cases while Bedford's figure has risen to 805 (+2).

Across the country, there have been 313,483 infections at an increase of 829 over the past 24 hours.

43,906 people have died with coronavirus in the UK, up by 176 since yesterday.
