Coronavirus latest: Three new cases in Luton

Thre new instances of coronavirus have been confirmed in Luton in the past 24 hours, according to Public Health England data.

The total new of cases in the borough now stands at 1,672 (+3).

It comes after eight new cases were reported yesterday (Friday) in Luton.

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire has 1,311 (+3) cases and Bedford has 1,398 (+5).

Altogether, 317,379 people across the UK have been diagnosed with coronavirus, up by 1,012 since yesterday.

Public Health England is reevaluating how it analyses Covid-19 deaths.

New deaths will only be recorded as Covid-19-related if they occurred within 28 days of the patient's first diagnosis of coronavirus.
