Luton care home residents share messages with their loved ones

An assisted living facility in Luton is sharing messages that residents have been sending to loved ones during the coronavirus lockdown.

Residents at Woodside Residential Home, in Slip End, used an online template to communicate with their friends and families. Staff at the care home are keeping spirits high by helping residents share photos of themselves and messages to the outside world. Nicky Shah, the activities lead at Woodside, said: “I thought it would be a great idea as we had to close our doors to all visitors, we had to minimise the chance of the coronavirus entering the home. But staff wanted to make sure all the residents’ families knew their loved ones were well, and safe.”
