A group from Luton are spreading a little cheer and raising money for charity by dressing up as superheroes when they go on their daily exercise.

Chris Gregory, from Wigmore, and his friends Dean and Jack are dressing up as superheros to put a smile on people's faces and raise money for the Luton and Dunstable Hospital Charitable Fund.

Chris's wife Lauren said: "We wanted to bring some cheer and smiles to the local area during these uncertain times.

"They are dressing up as superheroes while out for their daily exercise, and they are adhering to the social distancing guidelines while out.

"It is about making people smile, especially children. Our daughter is really missing her friends, nursery and her normal routine and we thought if she is, most children probably are as well, so they thought they could make people smile by dressing up as superheroes.

"The response has been great, people are really loving it and we have set up a Just Giving page to raise money for charity as well.

"We also have a Facebook page, Superhero Runners, and people have been commenting about it and making requests to go to their streets.

"They have been to people's streets and sang Happy Birthday to children.

"It's a bit of fun, to make people smile and raise money to thank the NHS, in particular the Luton and Dunstable Hospital"
