Celebrating best of British

A pianist is performing in Luton in an event to celebrate the best of British composers.

Mark Bebbington is to perform at Luton Library Theatre in St George’s Square on Monday February 22 starting at 7.30pm.

A favourite of Luton Music, Mark’s piano recital includes Ireland’s Sarnia and Doreen Carwithen’s rarely heard Sonatina.

It is part of the Music on Mondays, a weekly series of diverse concerts from September to March.

Organisers of the event have said that Mark’s concerts at Music on Mondays have always been a highlight of the season for all piano music fans.

The International Piano Magazine described Mark’s playing as: “impossible to imagine this wonderful music ever being better played.”

Mark will also be playing Beethoven’s Sonata in F minor Op 57, Appassionata and Chopin’s Tarantelle in A flat maj, Op 43; Nocturne in F maj, Op 15 No 1; Scherzo No 2 in B flat min, Op 31

Tickets for adults including seniors are £15 amd £8 forregistered students/unemployed/disabled £8. Entrance to people under the age of 18 and in education is free.
