Three acclaimed comics will perform at the Grove Theatre from 8pm for the latest Barnstormers event.

Chris McCausland is a stand-up comedian and actor. He is also the only professional comedian in the world who is blind, and after performing stand-up since 2003, is established at the top of the UK’s live comedy circuit. Chris regularly performs at the country’s major clubs, and in 2008, 2010 and 2012 appeared performing stand-up in three series of The Comedy Store for Paramount Comedy and Comedy Central. Dave Spikey of Phoenix Nights described him as “an absolute natural”.

Kevin McCarthy’s career started by accident, getting on stage as an opening spot at the infamous “Tunnel Club” in South East London purely to win a dare.

His career to date has covered the full gambit of the comedy world, working in such far flung places as South America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East. He not only performs on but also writes for television, having been involved recently in writing The Sketch Show, the BAFTA award winning ITV comedy series.

Roger Monkhouse is one of the most original and distinctive acts on the comedy scene, and described as a “consummate stand-up who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to exert a masterful control over any audience”. He also writes for Channel 4’s comedy panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats .

Compere for the evening is guest MC Jeremy O’Donnell.

Tickets cost £12.50 in advance or £15 on the door. Call 01582 60 20 80 to book.
