This is a bingo hall but not as you know it – to start with, there’s way more to the new Mecca than just bingo. The Skimpot Road venue has been completely transformed to become Mecca’s flagship club, a leisure and entertainment destination with a super-stylish, all-new modern design.
Following a multi-million-pound facelift, the new-look Mecca Bingo Luton has become the perfect spot for a fun night out for over 18s, thanks to a roster of amazing entertainment. From drag-themed bingo to party nights and live shows, as well as bingo with prizes guaranteed.
“No expense was spared on the revamp – including state-of-the art audio and visuals, slot machines and a stylish lounge and bar area with extra comfy seating and TVs showing live sport and events,” says Tim Perry, General Manager at Mecca Luton.
“People are amazed when they come in, from the neon signs to the Insta walls… it’s a genuinely cool high-tech venue with plenty going on all the time. There’s nothing else like it in the area.”
For anyone looking to try bingo for the first time, club hosts are on hand to explain the game. Bingo players old and new can enjoy a range of games, with prices starting from £5, offering the chance to win jackpots up to £50,000. Since it opened in March, the club has paid out over half a £million in prizes.
The packed calendar of events is constantly being updated with the likes of Bonkers Bingo party night, 'Boots Down' drag queen bingo and the unmissable Mecca Men, a Magic Mike-inspired revue that's set to get pulses racing!
On Saturday, June 25, the club is presenting a special Comedy Night with TV favourites Dane Baptiste, Simon Brodkin (aka Lee Nelson) and panel show regular Glenn Moore. The evening will be hosted by MC Dana Alexander, and promises to be a side-splitting evening.
Saturday afternoons see the popular Bottomless Brunch, which include an item from the Bottomless Brunch menu, 90 minutes of bottomless drink and an hour of bingo, with the chance to win big, all for only £25.
The all-new food menu includes great weekly deals like steak and wine night on Thursdays, along with classic dishes from pasta and burgers to curry and salads. Plus, the new open kitchen gives diners the chance to see fresh and tasty pizzas being cooked in the hot oven. There's also a fab range of cocktails and mocktails, from martinis to mojitos, along with the finest Costa Coffee to power your bingo session.
“We have everything you could possibly want for a daytime get together or a big night out, under one roof,” says Tim. “People can come along for a drink and dinner and enjoy the entertainment or join in with the bingo and have a great laugh. We’re really proud of what we’ve got here, and we want everyone to get involved!”
