Go dancing with mice this summer

IT’S the summer holidays, so theatres are becoming a little more child-friendly, and whether you are a young aspiring actor or a blossoming theatre luvvie, there are plenty of opportunities for younger people to get involved with local theatre this summer.

One production which will appeal to all the little prima-ballerinas is Angelina Ballerina the Mousical at The Alban Arena.

The Mousical follows Angelina and her friends as they discover they have won the opportunity to appear in their favourite television programme, Dancing With Mice, but what feels like a dream come true descends into chaos as the boys and girls have very different ideas for the show.

Will dance captain Angelina be able to get them to agree on their dances and ensure the show goes ahead?

Mini-mice dancers from The Dance Studio in St Albans will be joining Angelina Ballerina and friends on stage as part of the UK tour of the Mousical.

The pupils will be in an exciting dance at the end of Act Two called Ballet Girls & Hip Hop Boys, performing an incredible routine which might just inspire the stars of tomorrow.

Written and directed by Miranda Larson, with music by Barrie Bignold and choreography by Matthew Cole, catch the Mousical on August 24 (6pm), August 25 (11am, 2.30pm, 6pm) and August 26 (2.30pm).
