‘Inspirational’ star hands out scholarships

More than100 tiny dancers from the Anne Gale School of Dance took to the stage at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable where former pupil Faye Tozer made an appearance.

Faye, from pop group Steps, presented scholarships to three lucky children including five-year-old Imogen Gallagher (pictured).

The famous Anne Gale alumni is currently performing in West End musical Tailor-Made Man and described to the excited audience her days training at the dance school.

Teacher Emily Hancock said: “It is lovely for the children to see what they could achieve out of life if they continue to work hard, and Faye Tozer is a real inspiration to them all.”

Faye said she was very impressed with the standard of the dancers at the school today who performed a variety of dance styles. This isn’t the first time the children have shared the stage with Faye, as for the past five years some of the dancers from the school have performed in the Grove’s professional Christmas pantomime and Faye starred as the Princess in Aladdin in 2010.
