Only good things to say of JK as Robbie Williams

FROM the moment he stepped on stage at Dunstable’s Grove Theatre on Sunday night, JK was Robbie Williams, writes Laura Kempsell.

And if you were watching from a distance, or had not so perfect eyesight, then the resemblance to the pop superstar was uncanny – down to the looks, mannerisms and ability to have the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand.

I don’t have a bad word to say about tribute show Let Me Entertain You. I would have struggled to find a member of the audience who didn’t love every minute.

JK has a very similar vocal to Robbie, and the crowd – who were up standing for more than 90 per cent of the show – were thrilled as he belted out all his hits, plus a few swing greats and Take That tunes.

At £20 per ticket for more than two and a half hours of entertainment, it was great value for money. The perfect end to the electric night was an atmospheric rendition of Angels that had the crowd swaying and singing their hearts out. That, and the promise from JK that he will be back within the year.
