WEDS JULY 20

Adults with learning difficulties arts and craft sessions. Every Wednesday 10.30am to 12.30pm and Saturdays from 11am to 1pm at Arttrend, Arundel Road, Luton. Social and creative activity for adults with learning difficulties, engaging in all types of art and craft work such as painting in acrylics, papier mache, salt dough, cross stitch, rug making etc. Please see the website www.arttrend.co.uk and go to Art ALD, then see the gallery of work already done.

Luton Irish Forum holds a weekly Tuesday and Wednesday Club from 11am to 1.30pm at 102 Hitchin Road. This is a great chance to meet old friends and make some new ones.

Refreshments are all included along with soda bread, scones with jam and monthly chicken and chips.

Entry costs £1, plus optional £3 for two games of bingo and a raffle.

Wrest Park hosts a production of the Jane Austen classic Sense and Sensibility, presented by Chapterhouse Theatre Company.

Cara Dillon will play an exclusive set at Folk by the Oak at Hatfield House, bringing together an all-star line-up of musicians including Jamie Lawson, whose 2015 top 10 single Wasn’t Expecting That took the seasoned performer to international fame and acclaim.

The Happy Shark Comedy Club is returning to the Bear Clun in Luton with a special set from a comedy act with a difference.

In the past four years, Abandoman have toured with Ed Sheeran, headlined comedy stages at every major UK music festival - including Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival, Leeds & Reading - host London’s St Patrick’s Day event to over 15,000 revellers in Trafalgar Square, and been named out of over 2,000 acts as the Sunday Times’ Best Musical Act of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014.

Gig-goers can get Teenage Kicks right through the night when The Undertones come to Harpenden at 7pm.

Practising in their bedrooms eventually led to the band recording Teenage Kicks in 1978 This year marks the band’s 40th anniversary.

The milestone will be celebrated with a variety of live performances at festivals and venues throughout the world along with some very special record releases.
