Airports of Thailand used Routes World 2026 to promote new routes, boost airline partnerships and strengthen Thailand’s position as a leading international aviation hub.

Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) has stepped up efforts to expand Thailand’s global connectivity after meeting with more than 50 airlines and airports at Routes World 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany.

AOT President Paweena Jariyathitipong, alongside senior executives and representatives from the company’s business development and strategy teams, attended the international aviation event from 21 to 23 October. The conference brought together airline, airport and route development leaders from around the world to discuss future growth opportunities.

During the event, AOT held a series of business meetings focused on developing new international routes, increasing flight frequencies and strengthening commercial partnerships. Discussions also covered market trends, Thailand’s appeal as a travel destination and the viability of potential new services, helping airlines assess opportunities for future expansion.

The meetings form part of AOT’s wider strategy to enhance Thailand’s role as a regional aviation hub and support continued growth in international passenger traffic. AOT also marked the launch of several new routes introduced in 2026, including Virgin Atlantic’s service between London and Phuket, Riyadh Air’s route linking Riyadh and Bangkok, and LOT Polish Airlines’ Warsaw-Bangkok connection.

The new services are expected to improve access to Thailand from key international markets, while providing travellers with greater choice and strengthening links between Thailand and destinations across Europe and the Middle East.

Through its participation at Routes World 2026, AOT reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with airline partners to expand air connectivity, support tourism and create new opportunities for economic growth.
