Advance celebrates a fifth home getting a '˜good' CQC rating
Customers and staff from Advance, a housing provider for people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions, held a garden party to celebrate its fifth care home receiving a '˜good' rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Three of its homes on Tennyson Road, one on Ashburnham Road and one on Brantwood Road all got a ‘good’ rating this year.
During their inspections, CQC inspectors assessed the services in the following areas; whether the services were safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
They concluded that the services were good in every area.
Whilst visiting a service at Tennyson Road, inspectors took time to speak with residents and their family about the support they received, noting ‘people and their relatives told us that the staff who cared for them were kind and compassionate.
Inspectors also praised the way staff cared for customers at the service at Brantwood Road, noting in their report ‘people told us they were cared for by staff who were kind and compassionate.’
Debbie Neil, director of services at Advance, said: “Our staff are dedicated in supporting our customers in the way that is best for them, to empower them to live full and independent lives.
“I am very pleased that CQC has rated our services as good, in recognition of the high quality service we provide for our customers.”
