Airport pledges £50,000 to projects

LUTON Airport is to continue its support for community projects after pledging another £50,000 for its annual Community Trust Fund.

The fund was set up in 2009 to provide support for local community initiatives that positively contribute towards the aims and objectives of the airport’s Community Engagement Strategy.

The fund is independently administered by Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation and grants are awarded by its Grants Panel.

The panel also undertakes monitoring and evaluation to ensure the grants deliver significant impact in the social, environmental and economic life of the local community.
