Appeal for witnesses after man seriously injured in M1 collision near Luton

A man in his 30s was left with serious injuries following a collision on the M1 last week.

Just before 10pm on Friday, April 30, a grey Lexus CT - which had been travelling southbound - was involved in a collision with a HGV just past junction 10, near Luton.

A man aged in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

PC James McAlister of the Beds, Cambs and Herts roads policing unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was driving southbound on the M1 around the time specified who may have seen the vehicle, or the events leading up to or immediately after the collision, to please get in touch.

“If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please could you review the footage and get in touch if you believe you have captured anything that may assist with our investigation.

"Any information, even something that may seem relatively minor or insignificant, could be key to our enquiries.”
