Armed police called out to Bury Park

Armed police were called out to an incident in Bury Park yesterday evening.

Several police cars lined the road at Hazelbury Crescent at around 8.30pm as armed officers responded to an incident.

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers stopped a vehicle in Hazelbury Crescent, Luton at around 8.25pm yesterday evening, after intelligence had indicated it may have been involved in criminal activity.

“The car’s two occupants, a 23-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both from Luton, were arrested under suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. Both remain in police custody.”
