Asda - '˜Thanks for all your support'

The manager of the Luton Asda store hit by a serious fire last Monday has thanked loyal customers for their support.

Mick McCarthy said it had been tough but staff at the Wigmore store had been overwhelmed by the good wishes of neighbours and friends.

And he confirmed although it will be some time before the store is re-opened, its donations to the Luton Food Bank would continue and regular pharamcy customers were being taken care of.

Support for community projects would continue from the company’s Stevenage branch.

“I’ve been touched by the concern for our colleagues,” he said.

“We are looking after them all. I am very proud of their determination to start serving you all again and we can’t wait to welcome all our customers back to a new Asda Luton.”
