Baby monkey joins chameleon kids at zoo

WHIPSNADE welcomed a few new additions recently, as ten yemen chameleons and a saki monkey were born at the zoo.

The chameleons measured just half an inch at birth, and will eventually grow to around 14 ins.

The group were born bright green but can change colour for camouflage or according to their mood.

Proud parents Rio and Kos were happy with the healthy birth of a baby primate playmate for brothers Jose and Paulo.

The new addition – who measured just six inches long at birth – will be named once it has been sexed by the zookeepers.
