Beds Uni graduate wins contest
AN animation graduate from the University of Bedfordshire is celebrating after winning a prestigious competition.
Chris Butcher, who graduated in 2009, won the open stop motion category of the Red Bull Canimation competition earlier this month.
He said: “The whole experience was brilliant for me. I’d never really worked to a specific deadline or brief so it was a real eye-opener. I entered because I wanted people to see my ideas and I hoped that they were entertained.”
Chris’ work will be screened as part of an ‘Ad Break Takeover Documentary’ on Channel 4 next year (2012). It will also appear as part of the British Animation Awards (BAA) Public Choice Tour 2012.
