Brother and sister are just magic on the big stage
Jacob and Ruby Allen returned home from Skegness after competing in the national finals of the Park Resorts Big Talent show 2015 - bringing back a £1,000 prize and a huge trophy.
The brother and sister double act - Jacob, 8, and Ruby, 9, performed a magic and illusion act which wowed the judges.
They had won their heats at Coppers Beach in Essex and and went onto appear in a grand final show in Skegness, where they took the runners-up spot.
The final was judged by celebrities including the Chuckle Brothers Barry and Paul, X-Factor winner Sam Baily, Deme from Stavros Flatley, and Coronation street actor Andy Wyeman.
Jacob and Ruby’s family were there to cheer on the young performers, and are all very proud of them both.
The talented duo said that they will be working more and more on their act and may even have a go at Britain’s Got Talent next year.
A spokesman said: “Jacob and Ruby were very nervous but they performed perfectly, and they were judged to be runners up, a massive achievement as they were also the youngest in the competition, competing against all ages including adults.”
The winner was an adult opera singer and third place was a boy who played the guitar and sung a cover song.
