Luton firm makes the top 100

A Luton based company has made the annual Sunday Times profit Track 100 League table for last year.

MacDonald Humfrey Automation, which supplies passenger security screening and baggage handling systems to airports, and builds assembly lines for customers that include Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce is ranked seventh in the top 100.

Founded by chief executive, Mick MacDonald, 60, the company’s profits rose an average of 111% a year to reach £8.7m in 2013.

It’s based in Bolton Road, Luton and employs around 265 staff.
