Car crashes into Bury Park wall after high speed chase

A high speed chase in Luton ended dramatically when the car involved crashed into a wall.

The crash happened at around 1am in Bury Park Road yesterday.

A police spokesman told Luton Today: “We were called at approximately 12pm to reports of two men who were believed to have stolen items from a supermarket in Houghton Regis and who were driving dangerously on leaving the supermarket.

“A police pursuit ensued but was called off as a precaution due to the traffic conditions. Shortly afterwards the car collided with a wall in Bury Park Road, Luton.

“No-one was injured and two people were arrested.”
