Cars for the future from today's pupils
Their work went on display at Toyota’s Surrey headquarters and will now be entered in a global competition with a trip to Japan as the top prize.
The contest encourages children aged eight to 15 to combine imagination and creative skills to design what they think would be a great car for the future.

Hide AdBeach Hill Primary pupil Denisa, 11, came up with a Camouflaging Car that blends with its surroundings and enables occupants to view and study animals without threatening them.
Denisa said: “I enjoyed taking part – and I was really surpised when I won.”
Thirteen-year-old Rachel, who’s at Stockwood Academy, went for a Specialised Traveller for Terrestrial Accessability. This is designed specifically to tackle mountains, cliffs and usually inaccessible places.
Winners received a framed copy of their work, Apple iPads and a goody bag at an event hosted by Toyota president Paul Van Der Burgh.
