CCTV after thugs attack elderly man in Luton burglary

Police have released CCTV after callous thugs attacked an elderly Luton mna while raiding his home.

At around 6.45pm on Thursday, March 16, two men knocked on the door of a home in Eldon Road.

The elderly man living there was attacked by the offenders as they pushed past him to raid the property - they made off with a large quantity of money.

The offenders, who had their faces covered, were described as medium build, around 5’10”, wearing dark clothing and aged between 17 and 28 years old. One of the men is described as black and having a Jamaican accent.

Det Con Jason Wheeler said: “This was a despicable offence and I am urging anyone with information to come forward.

“I believe this victim was targeted and that somebody will know who has committed this vicious and brazen act. We are dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable in our society and burglary is a priority for the force.

“We are asking anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward to help us find those responsible.”
