Charity calls for Christmas volunteers

BRITISH Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling on kindhearted souls in Bedfordshire to lend a hand in their charity shops this Christmas.

The heart charity is appealing for volunteers across the county to give some time and make a difference to heart patients nationwide.

Last year, in Bedfordshire 156 volunteers worked in BHF Shops in the 12 weeks running up to Christmas, which is the equivalent to donating £81,432 in time.

Volunteering is a feel-good way to give back to the community. It’s also a great opportunity to be part of a team, have fun and make some new friends.

There are lots of different roles available from merchandising the large range of new festive gift products to selling Christmas cards or processing stock donations. Or sell raffle tickets for the annual Christmas hamper.
